About Evelyn Heald

I began coming to Lake Burton in 1975 when I was a student at University of Georgia. I married my husband, Tom, in 1979 and began visiting my in-law's home on Lake Burton that they bought in 1968. In 1980 I open a ladies clothing store called Fine Feathers in the Atlanta suburb of Dunwoody. It quickly became a success and I opened my second store in Buckhead. Tom and I then built our own lake home on Burton in 1998 and enjoyed making wonderful memories with our two daughters. When they left for college I decided I would get my real estate license. I now live part time on Lake Burton and work from the nearby Harry Norman office in Clayton,Georgia. The north Georgia mountains and Lakes Burton, Rabun and Seed are beautiful year-around. A home on one of the lakes or in the mountains is a wonderful place to gather generations together and make memories.
